My name is Karina Osorio. I am a Special Education teacher with a specialization in individuals who are blind or have multiple disabilities. I earned both my teaching degree and my Master’s degree in Educational Curriculum from the Metropolitan University of Educational Sciences in Santiago, Chile. Currently, I serve as the Principal of the San Alberto Hurtado Special School at CIDEVI, where we support children, youth, and adults with visual impairments, multiple disabilities, deafblindness, and severe communication challenges.
For 16 years, I worked as a technical-pedagogical coordinator at another special education school. I specialize in communication strategies for individuals with significant communication difficulties, as well as assistive technology and various other areas related to multiple disabilities. I am passionate about continuing to learn and grow in this field. I truly love what I do.
